Colorful Cookies

Kids will love these colorful cookies! It's a great and easy cookies recipe to impress your family with. For colors and cutters, you can use any of your preferences. I chose strong pink, chocolate, and plain models for you. I used also colorful sprinkles and smarties to add more color contrast. Of course, you may substitute these decorations with any other type, or you may just omit them. I hope you like this recipe and you try it at home.

Ingredients

- 100g  Butter (softened in room temperature)
- 200g  Cake flour
- 120g  Sugar
- 1 tsp  Vanilla extract
- 1 tsp  Vanilla sugar (optional)
- 3 tbsp Cream cheese
- 1 tsp  Cocoa powder (preferably unsweetened)
- a pinch of salt
- Sprinkles and Smarties
- Food coloring (of your choice)

Process

1- Using a rubber spatula (or your hand) mix together butter and sugar until smooth. Add the cream cheese, vanilla extract, vanilla sugar, and salt. Then, add sifted flour little by little, and mix until combined.

2- Make 3 equal parts of the dough. Add food coloring to the first, cocoa powder to the second, and mix each one until combined. Leave he third part plain.

3- Roll out each dough part between plastic wrap (so nothing sticks) and then use your cutters to make the cookies. You may now preheat your oven  to 180C°.

4- Decorate your cookies with sprinkles and smarties after placing them in a tan covered with parchment paper.

5- Cook for 10 to 15min (cooking time may differ so be careful). Allow to cool for at least 1 hour.

Enjoy your cookies!
